Easy Greek Yogurt Banana Bread

Super moist with the perfect flavor, this Greek yogurt banana bread is a must-make recipe!


  • 2 large over-ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt*
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  1. Preheat the oven to 350F, grease a loaf pan, or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas. Add the Greek yogurt, melted butter, and eggs. Whisk to combine. Add the sugar and vanilla, and mix.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. 
  5. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and bake in the preheated oven for 55 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. *If the top of the loaf is getting too brown, cover it with a piece of tin foil and continue to bake. 
  6. Remove the banana bread from the oven and allow it to cool down for 15 minutes prior to removing it from the pan and slicing.



You can also use vanilla Greek yogurt, traditional yogurt, or sour cream in this recipe.
