Healthy Turkey Burgers Recipe

Everything you need to know to make your healthy turkey burger come out juicy and full of flavor every time -bun optional.


  • 5-ounces finely chopped spinach
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Large lettuce leaves
  • Tomato, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons sun-dried tomato pesto


  1. In a large bowl, combine the spinach, turkey, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt until blended. 
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 parts and shape it into patties. Gently press down the center of each patty to create a slight depression so the burger will cook evenly. 
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high, or place a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook for about 4 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165F. Serve over large lettuce leaves. Top each burger with sliced tomato and 1 tablespoon of Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto and your favorite burger toppings.
