This tangy, sweet Maple Dijon Vinaigrette takes less than 2 minutes to shake up and drizzle over your favorite salads.
Though the name sounds fancy, this Dijon vinaigrette is as simple as it gets. I also think you’ll enjoy using the mason jar trick over a bowl and whisk; it’s a smart way to make your favorite salad dressings without dirtying up a bunch of dishes.

Easy Maple Dijon Vinaigrette Dressing
This Maple Dijon Vinaigrette has the perfect balance of tangy, sweet, and savory that coats any salad or ingredient you toss it with.
Personally, my favorite recipes for this vinaigrette are warm salads, like this Fall Roasted Vegetable Salad. The combination of roasted butternut squash and beets with fresh greens and tangy dressing always keeps me coming back for seconds.

Maple Dijon Vinaigrette Ingredients
If you have 5 minutes, you can make a delicious homemade vinaigrette with basic pantry staples:
- Apple cider vinegar
- Pure maple syrup
- Dijon mustard
- Olive oil
- Salt
Yup, that’s all you need, and I bet you have all of them in your kitchen now.
How to Make Maple Dijon Vinaigrette
Got your ingredients ready? Good! Now grab a jar, and let’s whip up this simple vinaigrette in 2 simple steps.

- Combine
In an 8-ounce lidded jar, add the apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, olive oil, and salt. - Shake it Up
Top the jar with the lid, and give it a good shake. The results should be a beautiful amber liquid ready to drizzle over a bed of greens.
Shaking the ingredients helps the oil and vinegar to emulsify into a smooth, cohesive vinaigrette.
Check out the video below to see how to make this vinaigrette fast.
You can refrigerate this Maple Dijon Vinaigrette in a lidded glass jar or bottle for up to a month after making it. I don’t recommend storing this recipe and other oil-based dressings in plastic. Over time the plastic absorbs the oil, and it makes the container harder to clean.
As oil and liquids tend to do, this vinaigrette does separate as it sets but a good shake or two, and it will go right back to that smooth consistency.

What To Serve With This Dijon Vinaigrette
This is one of those vinaigrettes that makes any salad taste better, and I’ve listed a couple of ideas below to try with this easy recipe.
You can also use this Dijon Vinaigrette as a finishing baste for cooked chicken or tossed into grilled or roasted vegetables to bring out even more delicious flavor!

This is amazing! Made it tonight with all ingredients on hand. Served it over bagged salad mix (the one with shredded carrots and cabbage added to romaine). Just added gorgonzola I had leftover from making 4-cheese pizza the other night and a cut up gala apple. As good or better than any restaurant salad!

I make a creamy maple mustard sauce for salads/sandwiches= Maple, spicy (or Dijon) mustard, and mayonnaise. This is a welcome variation! Thanks!
