Preheat the oven to 425°F with the top oven rack in the middle position. Line a baking sheet with foil or place a cookie cooling rack on top of the baking sheet -the latter helps air flow under the burgers, you don't have to flip them, and allows the grease to fall to the bottom of the tray.
Place the frozen burgers on top of the cooling rack or a lined baking sheet. Season the tops of the frozen patties with some salt, pepper, and any seasonings you enjoy. This is optional, but I personally like to season my burgers a little.
Bake:
Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake the burgers for 20 to 25 minutes, depending on how well done you enjoy yours. If you lined the baking sheet with foil, flip the burgers over halfway through cooking so they cook evenly. This isn't necessary when using the wire rack.
If adding cheese to your burger, top each patty with a slice of cheese and bake them for another minute or two, until the cheese is melted. You can also toast the buns for a minute or two while the cheese melts. Remove the burgers from the oven.
Assemble:
Assemble the burgers dressed just the way you like them, anything goes!
