This amazing master bathroom remodel is brought to you in partnership with American Standard. Thank you for supporting the companies that encourage my creativity.
How could I remodel most of the Studio without updating the master bathroom? This remodel is one I am very excited to share with you, since I know you’ll relate to some of the issues that brought me to remodel it in the first place.
One of the reasons we completely gutted this master bathroom is because it’s a very, and I mean very small “master bathroom.” It was one of those bathrooms that when the door opened, it nearly hit the toilet. I think it was designed as a natural “do not disturb” sign.
Anyways, we could not move the toilet from its spot but what we were able to do is remove the old plastic tub that took up a lot of visual room and replace it with a gorgeous tiled shower.
I chose American Standard products for the bathrooms because they were beautiful, have the clean lines I was looking for, and they have an excellent durability and performance. And for the shower, I don’t think we could have improved it any more than what you see now!
Studio Shower Base | Townsend Bath & Shower Kit | Euro Frameless Sliding Shower Doors
The frameless shower doors provide the illusion that the bathroom is bigger than it really is. I feel this was as much a space issue as it was a visual improvement to switch out the tub for a shower. And no, this master bath does not have a tub but we did keep the tub in the small bathroom.
One of the easiest things to select were the sinks. I had in mind the clean and modern look of the white rectangular sinks found in the Studio collection (the name is so appropriate!)
To match the shower I kept selected the Townsend faucets and towel accessories which I feel it carries the bathroom into a cohesive modern and elegant look throughout.

Even the toilet was upgraded because, you know, a clean high-efficiency toilet is of importance a few times a day, right? Joking aside, there is no way we could have kept the old one (no before pictures necessary or wanted here) so I’m thrilled that one got a new upgrade as well.
High Efficiency Elongated Toilet | Townsend Toilet Paper Holder | Townsend Towel Bar
As you can see, the bathroom is dreamy and I couldn’t be happier. One of the things that I love most is the bright airy space and how it’s update is sure to add value to the house.
Other items we purchased were Tully 3 –Light Vanity Lighting, a mirror we purchased at a local home décor store, and a white 60-inch double vanity with a Carrera Marble countertop (cut and installed by a local supplier).
What do you think? Does one of your small bathrooms need an update?
Donna
Oh yeah, we could use new vanities/sinks in BOTH our bathrooms. We replaced the toilets, but the vanities are both very small and as there is very little space, we have to get specialty sizes, so we’d LOVE some help!
Stacy Fellows
I would update our toilet first. We did a mini remodel but did not replace the toilets. Thanks, Stacy
jenny
Our house is about 13 years old so not too outdated, but it definately has the builders grade vanity, so I would change that first! I would love to enhance the mirror too.

Ohhh this looks incredible! I have been shopping and shopping but this inspired my bathroom remodel. We literally just bought our first home and get the keys this week! We have just a couple of things to do, one of which is a bathroom remodel lol! I’d love the Townsend in our new small but perfect master bathroom. What a beautiful and simple, sleek design. Just love! Congratulations on the new remodeled bathroom!

I love the studio collection! The first thing I’d do is replace my HUGE, old jet tub with something a bit more modern & compact.
Sylvia Baker
My kids bath desperately needs a new tub/shower. I love the VorMax technology but the traditional line has some very pretty choices!
julia
I would update the sink first. it gets backed up weekly ! I love the studio collection.

What a beautiful vanity with the double sinks! I love the cabinet Laura1 We need a bathroom upgrade and are actively pricing products and the work so thank you for posting and an opportunity to win some help. Regardless of a complete remodel, the first thing we need is towel bars … the kids tore them off the wall several years ago and we never replaced (because we just figured it would happen again). I saw the American Standard 24″ towel shelf and thought that would be really nice.

I would love to replace our contractor-grade vanity and mirror. They’re monstrously huge without adding functional storage. And I loove the Retrospect collection. That retro style is adorable!
Wendy
I’d update the 70’s yellow tub and toilet first, but the entire bathroom needs to be renovated. Your bathroom re-do looks amazing! Great inspiration!
Stacie
I would upgrade toilets first, then vanity, and last lighting. Your remodel came out great!
Jamie
Hi. I like the Studio suite collection. Your bathroom reno looks great.
Suzanne Hansen
My bathroom needs a full makeover but the tub/shower is the worst and the first thing I would change. The Townsend and saver collections are my favorite.
Renee Jordan
The Restrspect Collection is nice. My master bath needs complete makeover so any piece would help! Probably go for the shower /tub combo first. I love the clean modern lines you chose.
Susanne
I loved this post! I too have a minuscule “master” bathroom. However, I would spend my resources remodeling my larger hall bathroom for my children and guests. I would start with the vanity and replacing the Harvest Gold sinks.
Susanne
Oops….I love the Townsend collection you chose!

I could really use a new stand up shower. Mine was not put in that well. Uneven tile is so hard to keep clean! Love the Quentin style faucet, but also like the Townsend that is has clean lines and would be easy to wipe off.
Shannon Woodward
Oh, my shower needs to go for sure! Its so old lol. I really like the Estate collection from American Standard – very classic.

I am about to update my powder room. First up is replacing the pedistal sink with a new cabinet vanity. I love the look of the cabinets you chose.
Kim
I’d update my floor first – but would absolutely love to update the shower, sink, vanity, faucet, everything! I like the Portsmouth collection.
Laurie
Our hall bathroom is 1970’s yellow. The vanity, sink, and tub are in dire need of updating. I’d start with the sink and vanity. I really like the lines of the Tropic Collection. Especially the 2 handle 8″ high arc faucet.
Cristina
I would love to get new cabinetry. My favorite collection is the Quentin from the Traditional line.
Tessa
I’d upgrade my vanity first. I like the Fluent faucet collection.
Stephanie
I’d update the shower since the faucet handle in ours comes off and won’t stay put!
Railey
Our kids bathroom is original to our home built in the 1970’s. With four boys sharing one bathroom we need to add a double sink, it would really improve the flow of traffic in the morning! The Townsend and Fluent are both favorites of mine.
Your bathroom remodel is gorgeous and very similar to the style we would like to do in our eventual remodel.

I’d update my toilet first! In our main bathroom, we have a very old toilet which is stained, so always looks a bit dirty, even after it’s just been cleaned. I’m in love with the VorMax Collection, which features a toilet that eliminates conventional rim holes and therefore cleans 2x better than conventional toilets — how awesome is that?! Thank you, American Standard, for your awesome products and this awesome opportunity!
Christine Turner
Both our master & kids bathrooms need seriously remodeled, but we have to start with ours so they can use it while theirs is being redone. A few months ago, our master bathroom toilet had a problem and it backed up through the walls and everything so we had to take out the toilet and vanity and we are down to just the kids bathroom right now until we can get it fixed. Unfortunately, home owners insurance wasn’t an option as we are in the middle of a modification, but hopefully ours will look like this soon as we have about the same amount of space. It’s beautiful!

I’m not sure which collection it is a part of, but I love the ActiClean self-cleaning toilet! Self-cleaning and toilet are two things I like to see together. We would remodel our master bathroom!!!

I would upgrade my parent’s bathroom sink faucet and sink. Their house was built in the 80’s and definitely need upgrading. All of the two handle faucets look great. I would love to win the bathroom makeover as a gift for my parents! Thank you so much Laura!
Brittany
I LOVED this post. We have a tiny, tiny master bath that is in desperate need of a makeover. We have a 1949 home and the bathroom is original so there are cracked tiles and paint peeling above the shower. We already upgraded the toilet (with an American Standard, btw) so I’d love to win this giveaway and upgrade other aspects of the room! All of the American Standard stuff looks awesome, but I’m really digging the Hampton Collection.
Laura Fuentes
Brittany, I want you to know that although we call this a master bath, it’s smaller than many people’s closets LOL! but a bright airy and modern look definitely made it look so much bigger!

The sink and floor are very old
Cheryl
I’d upgrade my vanity first. My favorite American Standard bathroom collection is the Berwick Collection.
