Check out these top-tested blenders for salsa that yield great results!

If you love salsa and want to make the process easier, using a blender makes it a breeze. In the list below, you’ll find the best options at affordable prices.

Should You Use a Blender or a Food Processor for Salsa

I’ve used both a blender and a food processor to make homemade salsa and obtained great results. The main difference between the two is the texture although it’s possible to pulse in a blender too!

If you don’t want a smooth, restaurant-style salsa and want something with more texture, you’ll need to mimic the pulsing of a food processor in your blender by using the pulse button or a pre-programmed chop mode.

Using a blender is especially helpful when making large batches of salsa for canning and homemade pico de gallo.

Below you’ll find my top blender recommendations that can come with a pulse or chop mode so you can make great salsa!

Best Overall Blender for Salsa

The best blender for salsa is one that can be used for many other things and salsa happens to be one of them! The one must have is a pulse or chop mode and as a bonus, a built-in program.

If you want a multip-purse blender that will last a lifetime, the BlendTec is what I personally own since 2008.

Can You Use an Immersion Blender for Salsa?

If a smooth salsa with a few small chunks left behind for texture is what you’re after, using an immersion blender is a great tool for the job. The trick is to proceed with an up-and-down motion to blend the salsa ingredients stopping right before they become smooth.

While most immersion blenders are not meant for chopping some have a chopper attachment like the one below.

Best Immersion Blender for Salsa: Blendtec Handheld Stick
It can chop, it can puree, blend, whip, and everything in between this handheld blender is a dream, plus all the accessories are dishwasher safe.
