How to Make Salsa in a Blender
If you can make your blender work, you can make this salsa! It’s THAT easy. Check out the two steps:
- Blend
Add all ingredients in the order listed inside your blender or food processor. Pulse to combine and blend on medium speed gradually increasing to high speed until the texture is nearly smooth. - Refrigerate
Refrigerate for one hour prior to serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a week.
I told you! The most effortless salsa comes together in no time right in front your eyes just using the blender, as I show you in this video:

Now that you dipped some chips in this salsa -I saw you– store it on the fridge to top the most epic tacos, like these Philly Cheesesteak Tacos or my out-of-this-world Slow Cooker Tequila Lime Pulled Pork Tacos.
Is It Better to Make Salsa in a Blender or Food Processor
Using a blender or a food processor to make salsa is up to you. With the blender, you can get a smoother consistency. If you prefer chunky salsa, you can pulse less or use the food processor until you get the salsa texture you like. Check out the best blenders I’ve tested for making salsa here.
How Long Does It Last?
Homemade salsa leftovers stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator lasts 5 to 7 days. You can also freeze salsa for up to 2-3 months.
Can You Freeze Salsa?
Yes! You can freeze homemade fresh salsa for up to 2-3 months. Consistency may vary a little, but you can still enjoy its delicious taste.
To keep frozen salsa as intact as possible, place it in a freezer-safe zip bag and release any excess air. Add a date label so you know when you freeze it. You can also store it in small portions in airtight containers so you only have to thaw what you need.
I don’t recommend freezing blender salsa in jars, since the liquid of the salsa expands and could break the glass.
