Getting the Kids Back-to-School Ready

At the end of every summer, I set some time aside to go through my kids’ closets and take a look at what still fits, what needs to be donated, and the poor items that have gone through the ringer and need to be thrown out.

And every year, my kids’ athletic shorts are too short, their sneakers are too small -among other things. At this point, we head over to Academy Sports + Outdoors. Usually, we divide and conquer; dad takes the boys to get fitted for athletic shoes while the girl and I get lost in the workout and athletic gear (they usually find us in our glory with a full cart so no worries!)

For the last few years - even though we homeschool – we head to Academy to purchase backpacks, sneakers, and athletic clothes for the kids because they have the latest styles at affordable prices. And with three kids to outfit every year, that’s just what I need.

It's my one-stop shop for stocking up on sneakers, backpacks, lunch bags, drink bottles, athletic t-shirts, work out gear, school uniforms (we used to buy them here when the kids had one), after-school sports supplies, and more.

This year, dad let the boys pick out their “cool kid clothes” as they called them and they couldn’t be any happier. After all, my kids need clothes and gear that supports their active lifestyle, and I can find all of it at Academy Sports + Outdoors.
