Post Anniversary Party Thank You!

Three weeks ago, my husband and I celebrated our 13-year wedding anniversary, along with our three kids, close family, and friends. With the help of Mixbook, one of my partners on this website, many of the event’s details were not overlooked. From creating our invitations, RSVP cards, matching Thank You notes, guest book, and framed memories, this is one celebration we will always remember.

In this post, I shared the creation of our save-the-date cards, which became the theme for the invitations, our guest book and even our thank you cards. Now that the event images are coming in, I can’t wait to sit down and design a photo-book filled with the memories made at the party with Mixbook’s easy-to-use platform.

As I mentioned in my previous post, technology has made planning easier, including designing event cards like save-the-dates, invitations, and thank you notes for any event. I was ecstatic to partner with Mixbook before, but now having gone through the entire process, I’ve realized they were the perfect match for us!

Thirteen years ago, guest books were quite generic, something one purchased at the craft supplies store but today, with the help of technology and Mixbook, even the guestbook was able to tell our story. What I loved most is reading the sweet notes and comments my guests wrote down, all adding up to more memories of the event.

Something else that we decided to use Mixbook for was to create photo canvases with the gorgeous images we took from our Save-the-Date photo session. Now, they prominently hang ready-framed in our home, above our entertainment center where we look at them many times daily.

We brought our family photo to the event and placed it next to the cupcake dessert table, right in the music hall with the Jazz Band where people danced the afternoon away.

Now that the party is over, it’s time for me to sit down and send a few thank you notes to our guests, who although instructed not to, brought some generous gifts. While their presence was gift enough, you probably know how it goes, right?

As I sat down to write my thank you notes, I was overjoyed with love and appreciation for the ability to celebrate my 13 years of marriage with our close friends and family. We didn’t just celebrate our marriage, but also the life that we’ve built together that includes three wonderful kids.
