Looking for healthy office snacks you can make ahead and bring to work? You are going to love these three snack boxes that take less than 10 minutes to prep!

You don’t have to work in an office to qualify for these epic snack boxes! They’re the ideal grab-and-go solution you can prep ahead for a well-balanced afternoon fix.

I first discovered Moon Cheese while waiting in line at my favorite coffee shop trying to get an afternoon pick-me-up. The high protein, no sugar, and less than 2g of carbs per serving immediately grabbed my attention.

Now, I’m a big fan of all their Moon Cheese varieties because I simply can’t give up the crunch!

Best Healthy Snacks for Work

We’ve all experienced the 2 pm need for a little extra energy, right? After all, that’s how I discovered Moon Cheese in the first place: getting coffee!

The last thing you want is an energy crash mid-afternoon; so avoiding a high-carb and sugary snack is the best way to go. Yes, that means you must stop searching for change and avoid the vending machine at all costs.

Your best option for a healthy snack is always going to be satiating foods that are high in protein and healthy fats which keep you fuller longer and help you focus for the rest of the day.

Moon Cheese is the kind of snack you want around if you’re doing low-carb or keto, but with flavors like "Garlickin' Parmesan," "Cheddar Bacon Me Crazy," "Get Pepper Jacked," "Cheddar Believe It" and "Oh My Gouda" there’s a cheesy variety for everyone.

Made with 100% real cheese, Moon Cheese is exactly the kind of snack I like to eat on its own or build a substantial mini-meal like the snack boxes below.

Vibrant and full of delicious ingredients, right? That’s why I often stash one of these boxes in my workout bag to eat on my way back to the office from the gym. Let’s talk about each snack box. And if you’re looking for a little more bulk, try one of these adult lunchables for lunch!

Club Sandwich Snack Box

All of our favorite sandwich ingredients in snack form- rolled turkey, tomato, and moon cheese!

Cobb Salad Snack Box

This one’s a keeper for sure! Inspired by one of my favorite salads this box takes less than half the time to assemble and it’s protein-rich!

Mediterranean Snack Box

Can never get enough of the Mediterranean flavors and the Garlickin’ Parmesan Moon Cheese is the perfect complement to hummus!

What is a Snack Box

I call them snack boxes or mini-meals but essentially, a snack box is made up of your favorite snack foods arranged inside a divided container.

These boxes offer a delicious solution for those 3 pm cravings and could even pass as a balanced lunch if you add an extra piece of fruit or healthy side.

If you want to skip the sugar crash, skip the sweets and carbs. Instead, reach for lean proteins and healthy fats, they’ll help you stay fuller longer and don’t mess with your blood sugar levels. A perfect example are the Cobb Salad, Club Sandwich, and Mediterranean Snack Boxes.

Each of them is inspired by my favorite sandwiches and salads, but a lot simpler to make and eat! Each serving of Moon Cheese is an excellent source of calcium since it’s made from only cheese and not 15 other ingredients!

What to Put in a Snack Box

If you’re wondering what you put in a snack box or where to even start, check out the snack boxes in the recipe box below. They’re the perfect start and inspiration for you to start building your own epic, bistro boxes.

Each of these snack boxes contains Moon Cheese because unlike regular cheese, it does not require refrigeration. And, because it comes in a resealable bag, you can grab a few and leave the rest for later -if you can resist the crunch, that is. I love the crunch.

Below, I’m listing some of my favorite fillings and energizing Snack Foods you can use to build snack boxes. I like to include 2 to 3 veggies with at least 1 protein and a healthy fat for a balanced and energizing snack.

Veggies:

  • Baby Carrots
  • Cucumber
  • Celery
  • Bell peppers

Fruit:

  • Sliced apples
  • Citrus fruits
  • Grapes
  • Berries

Healthy Fats:

  • Hummus
  • Nuts
  • Nut Butters
  • Avocado

Protein:

  • Turkey or ham roll-ups
  • Hard-Boiled eggs
  • Grilled Chicken Strips
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Moon Cheese!

The Moon Cheese is the perfect swap for the usual cracker or chip because it gives that element of “crunch” without the carbs and they’re gluten-free! And you know I love to #CrankUpTheCrunch, right? These pack great  in a snack box without worrying about them going stale before I get to them.

You’ll find Moon Cheese available at select Whole Foods, Starbucks, Target, and Wegman’s. They’re also available on Amazon and at https://mooncheese.com. A complete list of locations to find Moon Cheese can be found here.
