How to Stock your Pantry and Save this Back to School

This post is sponsored by Flipp. All opinions written below are mine. Thank you for supporting the brands that encourage my creativity and work.

After a couple of weekends shopping for school supplies, books, and new backpacks… all I see is money flying out of my wallet. We’ve also eaten through all our pantry staples and freezer meals this summer, so now it’s my kitchen that needs to be fully stocked to get back into a school-schedule meal routine.

As luck would have it, I was introduced to Flipp, a free shopping app that brings your weekly circulars, coupons and shopping lists to your fingertips, so you can easily plan your shopping trip, find the best deals near you and save more money on everything you need. This app will make your shopping a breeze!

And let me tell you, Flipp has EVERYTHING you need to save time and money for the back-to-school season. Ever since I’ve downloaded Flipp, stretching my dollars has been a lot easier on both groceries, clothes, and school supplies. Gone are the days where I need to spend a lot of time clipping newspaper coupons and searching ads for the best deals -it’s all inside the app!

There is also the fact that I am that person who intends to use a coupon and always leaves it at home. Then, months later and often after it’s expired, I find it when I no longer need what I was shopping for. But with the Flipp app on my phone, which always comes with me everywhere I go, it makes it super simple to have my shopping list, and saving offers on hand.

Using Flipp is a very simple process. Check out this video to see how I stocked my pantry, fridge, and freezer for back-to-school.

For this back-to-school shopping haul I saved nearly $40 on items that were already on my list. That’s what I love about the app, I don’t have to buy things that are “on sale” to use them one day. I saved enough money for a new pair of shoes! But seriously, just think, week after week, those savings can really add up!

With the new pantry and fridge staples, I can make simple and fresh meals for breakfast, lunches, snacks, and dinner! Some of my family favorite breakfasts include my overnight oats recipes, make-ahead burritos, and pancakes.

I also made pre-portioned snacks for the kids in zip baggies. They are easy to add to any lunchbox or as an after-school snack. I saved on pretzels, granola to be sprinkled over yogurt, rice crackers, and trail mix.

I saved a lot on fresh produce items that I used to make refrigerated snacks like baby carrots, celery, clementines, hummus, and guacamole single packs too. These are also great for stand-alonesnacks and lunchbox add-ins.

In the freezer, I saved on pork loins, which I saved for a future dinner recipe and lots of freezer veggies. I mean, you can’t go wrong with having a freezer full of veggies to use as sides and in recipes.

Using Flipp, I saved money on items in every area of my kitchen. From the pantry to the freezer, I am fully stocked and ready to make fresh meals throughout the week. The Flipp app is free and available for download on both iOS and Android. For more information on how Flipp can help you save for back-to-school click here and share how much you saved.

I have not used Flipp but it sounds great. I appreciate being included in Momables to learn about great new things to not only help me with cooking but also saving on what I need to cook! Thanks for everything! Fruit and cheese chunks are hard to keep around in my house.

My go to is oatmeal. From hot for breakfast, overnight is a new love, granola as a snack or served with yogurt and fruit, quick snack bites. Yum!

The only time I really need to go to the grocery store is during the winter months. I save so much money by getting all of my vegetables from my garden. Since I grow my food, I find that I am eating healthier due to to fact that I use no pesticides, no chemicals, as opposed to what I get in the store. There are chemicals, and pesticides in all of the food that you get at a large grocery store. Try a veggie smoothie made from vegetables that you grew. Fantastic.

My go to ingredients are fruits & veggies that are pre packaged. I know they are a bit more expensive, but I also know they have washed and cut up for the perfect size snack. Easy to grab on the go or throw into a lunch box.

I’d never heard of Flipp before but it sounds awesome! Our go-to ingredients are nuts, fruit, chocolate–we make our own trail mix! And things for “lunchables”-string cheese, crackers and a protein!
