You only need 2 ingredients to make this decadent Nutella hot chocolate on the stove or the microwave. Tasty, easy, and super quick!

Nutella Hot Cocoa
Not cocoa powder or chocolate chips around? No problem! This nutella hot chocolate satisfies my cravings when I run out of the staples I need for my famous homemade hot cocoa and still want to enjoy a mug of delicious goodness.
This recipe yields a decadent drink everyone will enjoy sipping, with the chocolatey note we love and a creamier consistency than hot chocolate with water -another emergency recipe when my pantry and fridge are empty!
Ingredients
The two ingredients you need to make this easy drink are nutella for a rich, delicious hazelnut chocolate flavor, and any regular or non-dairy milk you have.
How to Make Nutella Hot Chocolate
You can make this hot cocoa on the stove or in the microwave. Dissolve nutella in 1 cup of milk and heat up the mix. Then add the remaining milk, stir, and heat up again, making sure it doesn’t boil. When making one serving, dissolving nutella in milk in the microwave works best. Add homemade marshmallows or your favorite hot chocolate toppings.

Nutella Hot Chocolate (2 Ingredients)

Ingredients
- ⅓ cup Nutella
- 2 ⅔ cups milk, any
Instructions
Dissolve the Nutella:
- In a small sauce pot over low heat, add 1 cup of milk and the Nutella. Stir constantly, until the Nutella has dissolved into the milk. You can do this in a microwave-safe dish, by heating up the Nutella and 1 cup of milk for 60 seconds. Remove it from the microwave and stir to dissolve.
- Add the remaining milk to the rich chocolatey mixture, raise the heat to medium, and heat up until the hot chocolate is hot but not boiling.
Serve:
- Pour into two mugs and top with marshmallows.
Notes
- For one: 3 tablespoons nutella + 1 ⅓ cups milk. Dissolve the Nutella in ⅓ cup milk first, then add the rest of the milk. When making this for one, I’ve found the microwave method works best.

I really love making this when I have zero energy for complicated recipes. The hazelnut flavor makes it feel way more fancy than it actually is.
