Fruit helps you build these Santa pancakes, making this holiday breakfast nutritious and fun.

Easy Santa Pancakes
With my family loving fluffy pancakes year-round, and my kids loving themed pancakes, these Santa pancakes were the thing to make.
You can use the homemade recipe I share below or make pancakes with a mix, just like with my Grinch pancakes, for an epic Christmas breakfast!
How to Make Santa Pancakes
Here are the easy steps to make Santa pancakes:
- Make the batter by mixing the ingredients. Use my homemade recipe or a pancake mix.
- Slice the fruit and prep the ingredients to make Santa’s face.
- Cook the pancakes as usual.
- Assemble Santa pancakes by arranging the hat, the beard, and the eyes.
More Ways to Decorate a Santa Pancake
You can let your kids create Santa’s face, or you can make it for them. Here are some ideas for each part of Santa’s:
- Beard: sliced banana, whipped cream, or mini marshmallows.
- Hat: raspberries, strawberry slices, cherries, or cranberries.
- Pompom: whipped cream, a marshmallow, or a banana slice.
- White band of the hat: whipped cream, coconut flakes, white chocolate chips, or mini marshmallows.
- Eyes and nose: dried fruit, blueberries, M&M, or chocolate chips.
More Christmas-Themed Breakfast Ideas
Swap the theme and make reindeer pancakes or snowman pancakes. Or indulge in a giant cinnamon roll that’s easy to make with canned dough.
Easy Santa Pancakes

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder, aluminum-free
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 ½ cups milk, any
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, optional
- Banana slices (beard), raspberries and whipped cream (hat), dried fruit and M&M (eyes)
Instructions
Make the batter:
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Make a well in the middle and pour in the milk, egg, butter, and vanilla extract. Break up the egg first with a fork, and then begin mixing it with the flour, working from the outside of the bowl in, until just combined and the batter is mostly smooth.
Cook the pancakes:
- Heat a non-stick griddle or large pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, grease, spray, or melt butter on the hot surface. When using an electric griddle, heat it somewhere between 300 and 350F.
- Immediately, pour ¼ cup of pancake batter onto the greased pan. Cook the pancakes for about 2 minutes per side. Remove the pancakes from the pan onto a plate and keep them warm while you cook the rest of the batter.
Assemble the Santa:
- Peel and slice a banana for the beard and the eyes. Arrange the raspberries for the hat, and form the white band and the pompom with whipped cream. Use dried fruit and/or M&M for the nose and the eye balls.
