For mornings where you want to make a nutritious breakfast but time is of the essence, this dairy-free healthy Cinnamon Roll Smoothie recipe is one everyone will love. It’s a time saver when it comes to the breakfast rush hour and will keep your family going all morning long.

As you can see, mornings can be tough. The kids have to get ready, the dog needs to be walked, and making everybody breakfast is a dance of precise timing and organization at my house.

Except, I don’t always have it together which is why I keep recipes like this up my sleeve.

The key to any great smoothie is the base, right? I use Silk Vanilla Almondmilk because of its new silky smooth taste and great texture. Not to mention it’s nutrition, like having 50% more calcium than dairy milk.

Unlike other cinnamon roll smoothie recipes, this version is fully dairy free. What gives this smoothie a thicker texture are the frozen bananas and oats. When added to the vanilla almondmilk, you have the base of something nutritious and filling.

So now the secret is out. That’s my base for many of our go-to breakfast smoothies. Yes, you guessed it right: Silk’s Vanilla Almondmilk (usually unsweetened), a frozen banana, and oats. I call this my “breakfast smoothie base.”

To this, you can add berries, peanut butter, canned pumpkin, blueberries, even spinach! If that’s not a terrific recipe hack to get a variety of smoothies done fast in the morning, I don’t know what is!

I digress from why you are here, my friend. The truth is that my breakfast smoothie base alone won’t build this incredible cinnamon roll smoothie. What’s a cinnamon roll without the “cinnamon”? Nothing. Nada.

And then there is the optional brown sugar. Sure, that takes it to the next level of authentic when it comes to a cinnamon roll. However, since we all have different levels of sweetness preferences, I marked it as “optional” in the recipe below.

Speaking of levels of sweetness, Silk’s New Silky Smooth Almondmilk is available in an impressive variety ranging from Original, Unsweetened Original, Vanilla, Unsweetened Vanilla, Light Vanilla, and Light Original, you can find the perfect balance of flavor and sweetness that works for you. See? The brown sugar is indeed optional.

Aside from being a morning game changer, I’ve found this smoothie to also make a great after-school snack for the kiddos. A serving is just enough to hold them over until dinner.

I love the taste of this smoothie so much that I’ve also been known to add a scoop of protein powder to make an epic post-workout beverage. The list goes on!

If you keep up with my recipes, you may have noticed that I’m forever on a quest to satisfy my family’s craving for sweets with wholesome alternatives and hearty snacks. I’ve found that our favorite desserts can be reworked to inspire easy, nutritious recipes that kids love.

It may sound decadent, but I assure you that this smoothie is nutritious and convenient. Two things I look for when it comes to our weekday morning recipes.

Busy mornings, afternoon sweet tooth solutions, workout recovery; whatever it may be. I love this Cinnamon Roll Smoothie and I know you will too! Check out Silk’s website for more incredible ways to use Silk in your breakfast recipes.

THIS IS ONE OF YOUR BEST VIDEOS YET!! The recipe looks awesome and it will be helpful for our mornings. Ours are hectic as a single mom with 5 kids so…. the blender will come to the rescue!

this looks delicious. Our mornings are crazy busy with a newborn, a 3 year old, and a 7 year old to get out of the house. We don’t have school busses so I have to get the baby and 3yo in the car on time to bring the older one to school. not always on time and breakfast is often an afterthought. Love the idea of insulated cups in the car!

Call me crazy but in the 2 years I’ve been following your recipes and videos this is the best and most fun video I’ve seen. LOVE the inside look at a crazy morning. The reality s that mornings are pretty crazy in all of homes.

I’m a stay at home dad and our mornings are insane. My wife works the nightshift at a hospital and she walks in when we are about to go to get in the car. The kids always want to “play” with mom and they often delay the mission: to get out of the house on time! I love Silk Almond milk since we are a dairy-free, gluten-free house. thanks for a great recipe!

I’m DEFINITELY going to make this! Thank you for the freezer cup tip! I have some of those from canning and now I am going to freeze my smoothie. I don’t have kids but getting out of the house with breakfast isn’t easy to do for me. Always running late

What a great video! I wish I looked that cute and put together in the morning! My poor husband sees my bear look in the morning instead! We will try this soon since I have all of the ingredients. Thinking about freezing the leftovers into popsicles!

    Laura Fuentes - October 30, 2017 Reply

Those popsicles would be so good! Well, I don’t look that put together most mornings… usually, I’m running out in my pjs and no bra… but nobody wants to see that LOL

Jaime-ann - October 29, 2017 Reply

Do you think the flavor would change too much if I added chia seeds? So glad I found this… #sanitysaver

    Laura Fuentes - October 30, 2017 Reply

    Add away!

Looks great Laura! – How do you think this would work with coconut milk (nut allergies)? Thanks!

    Laura Fuentes - October 30, 2017 Reply

    It will work great, Elizabeth!

Josie - October 30, 2017 Reply

I LOVE SILK!! We use it in every way you’d use dairy milk. Usually buy the original so I can use fit for all recipes but I can see this would be better with the vanilla. Another recipe to add to our stash! thanks.

I cheated and used Silk’s coconut milk (all I had in the fridge the green carton) and it came out amazing. Already added the unsweetened vanilla to my shopping list. Thanks for a great recipe
