You don't have to run to the store in your PJs to grab a special loaf of bread or turn on the oven; you make this epic peach French toast in a pan with the leftover sandwich bread from the week.

French Toast with Peaches and Peach Syrup
The base for this recipe is my cinnamon French toast, which is a basic weekend breakfast for my family, and the peaches and peach syrup come together in less than 5 minutes.
Fresh peaches are great for French toast, but if not in season, use canned or frozen. Whether you peel them or not, it’s up to you! I'll share more deets on how to make those swaps below.
Ingredients
You’ll need the classic French toast ingredients like sugar, eggs, milk, and thick bread slices to absorb the liquid mixture. For extra deliciousness, this recipe also includes cinnamon, vanilla, and peaches.
Out of Fresh Peaches?
Don't have fresh peaches? No problem. I often keep a bag of peaches in the freezer for smoothies, so I thaw them and use those! If everything you have around is canned peaches, go ahead. They work to make my peach waffles, so you can use them to make this French toast, too!

How to Make Peach French Toast
I make the peach topping with the syrup first, in a pan, so it's warm and ready to go as soon as I'm done cooking. It takes 5 minutes, totally worth it! Then, make the milk and egg mixture, and soak the bread slices.
While it's tempting to soak up all your bread slices at once, soaking them for too long can lead to soggy French toast. I typically soak as many as I can cook in my pan at the same time for a total of 30 seconds. Then, cook them 2 minutes per side, add the topping, and enjoy!
Easy Peach French Toast

Ingredients
For the peach topping:
- 2 ripe peaches, washed and sliced, peeling them is optional
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ¼ cup water
For the French toast:
- 6 eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Pinch salt
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 8 thick slices of bread
Instructions
Cook the peaches:
- Heat a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, melt the butter. Add the sliced peaches to the pan, and stir, cooking them for about a minute.
- Distribute the cinnamon and brown sugar over the peach slices give them a stir, and add the water. Cook the peaches on medium-low for 3 minutes, until they have released their juices and are soft. Turn off the heat and cover to keep warm while you make the French toast.
Make the soaking mixture:
- In a large, wide-bottom bowl or baking dish, beat the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon with a wire whisk until smooth. Use a dish or baking pan that fits several bread slices, even better if it's as many as they fit in your pan.
- Dip the first two bread slices into the egg mixture for about 30 seconds, just enough to soak up some of the mixture on each side but don't soak it for too long.
Cook the French Toast:
- Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Once hot, melt some butter.
- Immediately, place several bread slices on the greased hot pan and cook for 2 minutes on the first side, and once golden, flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes on the other side. Repeat this process with the remaining bread slices and soaking mixture.
Serve:
- Serve the cooked French toast slices and top them with ¼ of the sliced peaches. Spoon the cinnamon liquid left in the pan over each plate.
