This cilantro lime sauce is the perfect drizzle for tacos, although I’ve been known to pour it generously on salads, drizzle over grilled chicken breasts, and more.
It’s the perfect combination of creamy and tangy with the freshness you expect from freshly chopped cilantro.

Easy Creamy Cilantro Lime Sauce
What’ makes this recipe easy, you ask? The fact that it comes together in a blender in under a minute.
From the blender, you can simply pour it into a jar or squeeze bottle and keep it in the fridge for when you need it.
What Goes in Cilantro Lime Sauce?
Outside of drizzling it straight into your mouth, this cilantro lime dressing is great over blackened fish tacos, drizzled over a tex-mex omelet, used as a salad dressing, and with grilled shrimp.
The real question is: what doesn’t go great with it? I’ve yet to find out.
How to Make Creamy Cilantro Lime Sauce

Place the sour cream, milk, lime juice, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cilantro in your blender jar. Blend until smooth. - Store
Pour this delicious sauce into a lidded jar or a squeeze bottle and refrigerate for up to 5 days.

Cilantro Lime Sauce
Ingredients
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 lime juiced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- pinch of salt
- pinch of black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer inside a lidded jar or squeeze bottle and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
