This cilantro lime sauce is the ultimate dressing for salads and drizzled over fish tacos.

Cilantro lime sauce is my favorite drizzle for tacos, although I’ve been known to pour it generously on salads, drizzle over grilled chicken breasts, and more. It’s the perfect combination of creamy and tangy with the freshness you expect from freshly chopped cilantro.

Easy Creamy Cilantro Lime Sauce

What’ makes this recipe easy, you ask? The fact that it comes together in a blender in under a minute.

From the blender, you can simply pour it into a jar or squeeze bottle and keep it in the fridge for when you need it.

Ingredients

The measurements for this recipe are at the end of the post, but before you scroll down, check the simple ingredients you need to make this cilantro lime sauce:

  • Sour cream: makes this dressing super creamy!
  • Lime: its juice adds a citric note that goes great with cilantro.
  • Garlic powder: a great addition for flavor.
  • Salt and black pepper: just a pinch of each for seasoning.
  • Fresh cilantro: the MVP of this recipe.

How to Use Cilantro Lime Dressing

Outside of drizzling it straight into your mouth, this cilantro lime dressing is great over blackened fish tacos, drizzled over a tex-mex omelet, used as a salad dressing, and with grilled shrimp. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Blackened Fish Tacos
  • Santa Fe Salad
  • Chicken Tostadas
  • Sheet Pan Shrimp Fajitas

The real question is: what doesn’t go great with it? I’ve yet to find out. Can’t get enough of this flavor combo? Find all my favorite cilantro lime recipes here.

This cilantro lime sauce was creamy and delicious. We used it over tacos and leftovers over a steak salad. Sooo good.
