If overnight oats are a go-to, you’re going to love them even more with soft, cinnamon apples mixed in.

Overnight Oats with Apples and Cinnamon
Apples and cinnamon are one of those flavor combos that just work, which is why I keep coming back to them in recipes like my cinnamon apple bread and cinnamon apple muffins. These cinnamon apples overnight oats bring everything I love about that pairing and into an easy, make-ahead breakfast you can prep in minutes.
Ingredients
Tart, Granny Smith apples are always a favorite, but any variety of apples will work. A little butter helps cook them down, cinnamon for flavor, and a drizzle of maple syrup or honey to sweeten. Old-fashioned oats hold up best for overnight oats, and any milk, dairy or not, will work as the liquid.
Overnight Oats to Liquid Ratio
A ratio of ½ cup old-fashioned oats to ¾ cup milk yields perfect overnight oats.
How to Make Cinnamon Apple Overnight Oats
You can make overnight oats in one container or divide the 4 servings into individual jars. Here is what you need to know:
- Cook down the apples.
Diced small, they’ll cook fast. This step is essential so they’re nice and soft when you eat them. - Assemble the jars.
Combine the oats with the milk, then add the cooked cinnamon apples. - Refrigerate.
Overnight oats need at least 4 hours to soften, which is why you’ll see 8 hours or overnight. - Enjoy.
You can eat them cold or warmed for 30 seconds in the microwave.

How Long Are They Good For?
Overnight oats keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. This is the type of recipe that tastes better as it sits, with the oats soaking up the cinnamon-apple flavors.
