This simple salsa recipe requires minimal chopping, and your blender does all the work. It’s mild for kids and just as good as the one you’d find in a restaurant.

Looking for a simple salsa recipe that tastes amazing? Look no further. This salsa recipe is super easy and kids will love it since it has the right amount of spice.

Easy Salsa for Kids

I love restaurant-style salsa. It's full of flavor and it’s the perfect topping or dipping sauce for so many things! Of course, I had to create my own salsa recipe to enjoy at home with the kids on taco night, with fajitas, chips… everything!

This simple salsa recipe requires minimal chopping since your blender or food processor does all the work! I also love that I can adjust the spiciness to make it perfect for the kids without sacrificing any flavor.

I usually make this salsa in bulk to add to everything from tacos to burrito bowls and bell pepper nachos. While you can keep it in the fridge for up to one week, I promise the jar will be empty sooner!

Ingredients

You’ll find the amounts in the printable recipe card, but first, check out which are the flavors that make this simple salsa recipe so epic:

  • Canned tomatoes: I use fire-roasted tomatoes and petite diced tomatoes to give this salsa the perfect flavor balance.
  • Onion: a classic and delicious salsa ingredient.
  • Jalapeno peppers: for kid-friendly mild heat.
  • Garlic cloves: super flavorful and delish!
  • Cumin: adds a rich, earthy note.
  • Salt: makes this salsa even tastier.
  • Lime: brightens up the flavor!
  • Cilantro: adds freshness and a classic salsa taste.

How to Make Kid’s Salsa

In no time, you'll be enjoying your favorite chips and salsa in the comfort of your own kitchen. And all you had to do is blend! Here are the simple steps to make this salsa recipe for kids:

  1. Combine
Place all the ingredients in your blender or food processor and pulse to combine until smooth.
  2. Refrigerate
Place the salsa in the fridge for one hour before serving. Enjoy!

Well, how EASY was that? I know! Now check out this quick video to see how this kids salsa recipe turns out:

What to Serve with Kid’s Blender Salsa

I always serve a bowl of this salsa when we enjoy nachos at home. And taco night? Of course! Recipes like my baked tacos and rotisserie chicken tacos are better with salsa as a topping! Want to dip some tortilla chips or banana chips in it? I can’t help it!
