This super easy watermelon slush has no added sugar and it’s so fresh and delicious, you’ll want to make it over and over.

Refreshing Homemade Watermelon Slush
Is there anything better than juicy watermelon in the summer? My kids and I look forward to this time of year so we can dig into a big bowl of watermelon on hot days by the pools. I don't think there's any other fruit more juicy and refreshing!
We love making watermelon popsicles in the summer, so I wanted to try something else with watermelon. The result? Homemade watermelon Slushie! The best part is that you only need one ingredient: frozen watermelon! Oh, and water - but that doesn't count.
I also love this recipe because there's no added sugar, just fruit. I always try to give my kids treats that are tasty but also healthy. This easy watermelon slush is definitely one of our go-to snacks for the summer!
Ingredients
This delicious, naturally sweet treat is a one-ingredient recipe you’ll want to make every summer! The amounts for this watermelon slushie are at the end of the post, but check that when I say one ingredient, I really mean it:
- Watermelon: cut into 1-inch chunks and frozen.
- Water: it doesn’t even count as an ingredient, does it?
How to Make a Watermelon Slushie
Since I’m using frozen watermelon, you don’t even have to wait to enjoy this refreshing watermelon slushie. Extra points for this frozen treat! Check how to make it:
- Blend
Blend the frozen watermelon and water in the food processor or the blender until you get a slushy texture. - Enjoy!
Serve immediately, or store it in the freezer for enjoying later.

How to Freeze Watermelon Chunks
Once you cut the watermelon into cubes, place them flat inside a zip bag and store them in the freezer. When you want to use them, just break off the cubes you need!
