Are you ready to make the best Buffalo chicken sliders of your life? Crazy question! We were born ready! Let’s do this!

Hawaiian Rolls Buffalo Chicken Sliders
These easy Buffalo chicken sliders on Hawaiian rolls are the best thing since the Buffalo chicken quesadillas, but that’s a whole other story; right now, let’s focus on these beauties!
What’s not to love about sliders? The bread is perfectly soft, slightly sweet, add melted cheese and meat to that mix, and you’ve got yourself a divine meal. One bite, and it melts in your mouth.
To make Buffalo chicken, all you need is a slow cooker, a bottle of Buffalo sauce, and chicken- BOOM! In case you just came across this recipe and want to make it tonight but don’t have time for the slow cooker to work it’s magic, you can still make these sliders using rotisserie chicken and buffalo sauce.

Ingredients
What are these Buffalo chicken sliders made of? Goodness! The soft bread, the melted cheese, the smoky chicken… Perfection! Before you start drooling, check out what exactly makes these sliders ridiculously tasty:
- Chicken breasts: boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
- Buffalo sauce: homemade or store-bought.
- Hawaiian rolls: their texture and flavor make them perfect for sliders.
- Green onions: add a little bit of crunch and flavor depth.
- Ranch dressing: I use my homemade ranch, but one from the store also works!
- Provolone: you can swap it for shredded Cheddar or Pepper Jack cheese; the important part is that it tastes good and melts perfectly.
- Blue cheese crumbles: we want these sliders to be super cheesy!
Why Hawaiian Rolls are the Best for Sliders
Hawaiian rolls have a slightly sweet flavor that balances perfectly the tangy, smoky Buffalo chicken. Its size and soft, fluffy texture is also great to hold the filling while it melts in your mouth in the most delicious way!

How to Make Shredded Buffalo Chicken Sliders
One thing I adore about this meal, besides the fact that it’s life-altering delicious, is that it requires minimal kitchen duty, especially if the Buffalo chicken is premade. We’re talking 20 minutes from the counter to the table, and that includes 10 minutes baking in the oven! Here are the steps:
- Cook the chicken
Combine the chicken with Buffalo sauce and cook it in the slow cooker. No time for that? Grab a cooked rotisserie chicken and a bottle of Frank’s Buffalo sauce, shred the meat, and toss it with ½ to ¾ cup of sauce. - Prep
While the oven preheats, shred the meat and halve each Hawaiian roll. - Assemble
Top the Hawaiian rolls with Buffalo chicken, green onions, dressing, and Provolone cheese. Assemble and add blue cheese crumbles on top. - Wrap
Using a large sheet of tin foil, cover the entire pan to seal the sliders and lock in moisture. This helps keep the rolls soft and easy to pull apart. - Bake
The sliders are ready when the cheese is completely melted. - Devour!
I think it’s quite obvious what happens here; just grab a Buffalo chicken slider and inhale. Repeat if necessary.
I could talk about these cheesy, saucy sliders all day, but I thought watching how they’re made would be more fun, so I made a video, enjoy!
What to Serve with Buffalo Sliders
If you don’t plan on eating 3 of these (I didn’t plan on it the first time, but things happen), you can compliment the meal with roasted Buffalo cauliflower bites or French fries (baked, not fried!).
If you want to keep it classic, serve these Buffalo chicken sliders with a side of carrot and celery sticks and Ranch dressing. I know you may be thinking, “there she goes with that Ranch again,” but for real- the stuff is perfect with Buffalo sauce #noshame.
