Easy Buffalo Chicken Sliders

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

These easy buffalo chicken sliders are stuffed with shredded chicken in a tangy, smoky sauce, melted cheese, and homemade ranch dressing. It’s the best thing since the Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas, but that’s a whole other story, right now, let’s focus on these bad boys!

I could talk about these cheesy, saucy sliders all day, but I thought watching how they’re made would be more fun, so I made a video, enjoy!

Are you ready to make the best sliders of your life?

Crazy question! We were born ready! Let’s do this!

What Makes the Perfect Slider?

What’s not to love about sliders? The bread is perfectly soft, slightly sweet, add melted cheese and meat to that mix, and you’ve got yourself a divine meal.

ingredients for buffalo chicken sliders laid out on a cutting board. Including, bowl of buffalo chicken, blue cheese crumbles, provolone cheese slices, dish of ranch dressing, chopped green onions and small rolls.

To create the perfect slider, you need four things:

  • Soft, warm bread- Hawaiian rolls are best!
  • Meat
  • Melted cheese
  • Buffalo Sauce

In this case, we’re talking about Hawaiian rolls packed with shredded buffalo chicken and Ranch sauce covered with melted Provolone and blue cheese crumbles. One bite, and it melts in your mouth.

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Sliders

One thing I adore about this meal, besides the fact that it’s life-altering delicious, is that it requires minimal kitchen duty, especially if the buffalo chicken is premade. We’re talking 20 minutes from counter to table oven, and that includes 10 minutes baking in the oven, the sliders not you.

If you don’t know how to make buffalo chicken check out this post, all you need is a slow cooker, a bottle of buffalo sauce, and chicken- BOOM!

1. Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the rolls
Keeping the Hawaiian rolls intact, place them onto the prepared baking sheet and run a bread knife through the center of the rolls, so that the bottom and top halves are in 2 separate slabs.

3. Time to top
Starting with the buffalo chicken, spread a generous amount over the bottom half. Top with Provolone cheese, green onions, Ranch dressing, and the remaining rolls. Once the sliders are intact top them with a healthy dose of Blue cheese crumbles.

4. Wrap
Using a large sheet of tin foil, cover the entire pan to seal the sliders and lock in moisture. This helps keep the rolls soft and easy to pull apart.

5. Bake
Bake for 10 – 15 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving.

6. Devour
I think it’s quite obvious what happens here; just grab a slider and inhale. Repeat if necessary.

Buffalo Chicken Slider Ingredients

To make it easier for you, here are the recipe ingredients in list form:

  • 1 recipe Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken
  • 8 King’s Hawaiian rolls
  • Green onions
  • Ranch dressing– like the one from this salad
  • Provolone cheese
  • Blue cheese crumbles

If you don’t have Provolone but shredded Cheddar or Pepper Jack cheese, use it. The important part is that it tastes good and melts perfectly.

In case you just came across this recipe and want to make it tonight but don’t have time for the slow cooker buffalo chicken, you can still make them. Grab a cooked rotisserie chicken and bottle of Frank’s buffalo sauce from the grocery store, shred the meat and toss it with ½ to ¾ cup of sauce.

What to Serve with these Buffalo Chicken Sliders

If you don’t plan on eating 3 of these (I didn’t plan on it the first time, but things happen) here are a few suggestions for side dishes that compliment the meal:

  • Roasted Buffalo Cauliflower Bites– if you’re feeling extra
  • French Fries– baked not fried

If you want to keep it classic, serve these sliders with a side of carrot and celery sticks and Ranch dressing. I know you may be thinking, “there she goes with that Ranch again,” but for real- the stuff is perfect with buffalo sauce #noshame.
