Simple Strawberry Smoothie for Kids 

Homemade smoothies are a favorite when you want your kids to drink something tasty and nutritious that they can also help to prepare. You can quickly blend it and pour it or freeze it for later. Simple, quick, and convenient!

Let’s not forget nutrition: this simple strawberry smoothie is made of real fruit, and it's great to add fiber, vitamins, and protein to your kids' menu. And if you want to sneak some veggies, also try this pineapple protein green smoothie.

Ingredients 

To make this smoothie, you only need fresh or frozen strawberries, your favorite dairy or non-dairy milk, Greek yogurt (plain, vanilla, or strawberry), vanilla extract, and ice cubes (omit if using frozen berries). Want to add more berries? Try this epic triple berry smoothie with yogurt!

How to Make a Strawberry Smoothie 

This strawberry smoothie couldn't be any easier, and kids can help to make it: combine strawberries, milk, yogurt, vanilla, and ice in the blender, then blend until smooth. Pour the smoothie into two cups and enjoy!

How to Pack a Strawberry Smoothie for a School Lunch

You can pack this strawberry smoothie for kids to enjoy at school in a thermos container by placing the thermos in the freezer at night and pouring the smoothie the next morning.

If using a freezer cup, prep the smoothie, pour, and store in the freezer until use. Both ways, there won't be any spill, and the smoothie will stay fresh. In this post, I share all my packing tips and the best containers for smoothies.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup strawberries, frozen or fresh
  • 1 cup milk, dairy or nondairy
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt, vanilla, strawberry, or plain
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes, omit if using frozen berries

Instructions

  • In a blender, combine strawberries, milk, yogurt, vanilla, and ice. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour the smoothie into two cups and enjoy.
