These lettuce wraps are a breeze to make and are filled with everything you love from tacos in every bite!

Use ground beef, turkey, or chicken to make the lettuce wrap filling, and in 15 minutes, you’ll be ready to enjoy a healthy taco night.

Easy Taco Lettuce Cups

In those "OMG, what am I going to make for dinner?" moments, this Taco Lettuce Wrap recipe always comes in handy. My family loves tacos, so when I want to lighten up our taco nights but still make them filling, I serve taco bowls or this delish recipe.

Other lighter and filling taco night recipes using lettuce cups include these easy slow cooker pork carnitas lettuce wraps and these Asian chicken salad lettuce wraps. They’re both amazing!

Ingredients

The base is a pound of ground meat (beef, turkey, or chicken) and a can of black beans to stretch it. Lettuce with sturdy leaves, such as iceberg, Boston Bibb, and butter lettuce, works well for taco wraps or cups. The rest of what you see are toppings; from fresh pico de Gallo, diced avocado, and corn on the cob, the toppings are endless.

How to Make Lettuce Wrap Tacos

The tips in each of the steps will help you have this epic meal ready in 15 minutes:

  1. Cook the filling
The ground meat needs to be cooked first, with the onions, garlic, and Taco seasoning for flavor. Then, you add the black beans, which are already cooked, at the very end to heat them up.
  2. Assemble
While the meat is cooking, gather all the toppings for these lettuce wrap tacos. Then, you’ll scoop the filling into the lettuce cups (depending on the type of lettuce you’re using, you may need to double up). Load them with toppings.

Lettuce Wrap Taco Toppings

Toppings are what make any lettuce wrap exciting to eat. I like to add loads of fresh flavors on top, like fresh tomatoes or pico, diced avocado, or spicy guacamole for a little heat, corn on the cob for sweetness, and anything else I might have on hand. You can’t go wrong!

What to Serve with Taco Lettuce Wraps

Need more to keep the gang full? Serve these with a side of rice or this Mexican cauliflower rice for a lower-carb option. Entertaining? Shake up a skinny Strawberry Margarita! Woohoo!
