Crispy Air Fryer Sweet Potatoes
When I crave all the deliciousness of roasted sweet potatoes but need a quicker fix for dinner, this Air Fryer Sweet Potato Recipe is a meal saver. The potatoes are super tender, with crispy edges, and I cut cooking time to half!
Living in New Orleans, summer can be tough, so the air fryer is not only a healthy cooking method, but it’s also my best friend when turning on the oven sounds like the worst idea.
With very little work and just a few ingredients, you can enjoy a tasty veggie to build an epic chicken dinner, serve it with salmon, or add it to a salad. Amazing!
How to Cube Sweet Potatoes
This recipe is so effortless that all you have to do is peel and cut the sweet potatoes into cubes. While it doesn’t take too long, in this video, I show you the easiest method to cube sweet potatoes so all your cubes end up the same size.
Ingredients
What do you need to get delicious sweet potato cubes in the air fryer? Just a little oil and seasonings! Check out what I use and why:
- Sweet potatoes: what this recipe is all about! Cube them into even ½-inch cubes.
- Olive oil: coats the potatoes, adding flavor and making them crispy.
- Seasonings: I make these cubes super tasty using salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

How Long Does it Take to Air Fry Cubed Sweet Potatoes
Cooking sweet potato cubes in the air fryer at 400F takes 10 to 14 minutes. Time will vary depending on the size of your cubed sweet potatoes. Once the thickest or largest pieces are soft, you know they’re done.
Storing & Reheating Leftovers
Store sweet potato leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. When you want to enjoy them, place them in the air fryer again at 350F for about 3-4 minutes until they are heated through.
What to Serve with Cubed Sweet Potatoes
These sweet potato cubes make a nutritious side for pan-seared chicken breasts, healthy turkey burgers, or Spanish salmon. I also love add them as a topping for my delicious winter salad or even as a swap of butternut squash in these roasted chickpea tacos!
You can also add leftovers to any salad (this sausage salad is my favorite!) or mix them with other veggies leftovers for a healthy side packed with nutrition.
