Easy Peach Cobbler Smoothie

This post is sponsored by The Quaker Oats Company. All opinions are my own.

If you like sipping on smoothies, then you’re going to love this oat peach smoothie recipe! Thanks to frozen peaches, oats, and almond milk, this refreshing smoothie tastes like dessert, and it’s good for you.

Frozen peaches, almond milk, ice, oats…. hold up? Oats? YES! I know, I know, who would’ve thought oats would be so great in a smoothie, but I promise guys, it works! Thanks to my friends at Quaker Oats, this smoothie provides over 7g of fiber per serving and has a creamy, thick texture I love.

What kind of oats do you use in smoothies?

Aside from veggies, there are tons of nutritious ingredients, like oats, you can add to any smoothie to give it a boost of fiber: and Old Fashioned Quaker Oats are my number one go-to because adding a 1/2 cup of oats provides 4 grams of fiber to my smoothie.

They’re one of the most versatile ingredients from baked oatmeal, to energy bites and cold treats such as this one, so you’ll find them in my pantry at all times.

Top Smoothie Benefits

On busy mornings or days when I need a wholesome option I can make to-go, smoothies are my go-to! By adding in a 1/2 cup oats to my smoothie, in just 3 minutes I can pack as much nutrition into one glass as I can in a bowl of oatmeal in the morning. That being said, let’s take a look at the benefits you can get from smoothies:

  • Quick

While most of us appreciate sitting down to eat, that isn’t always possible, which is why smoothies are total lifesavers. With the right combination of ingredients, you can get nutrients from different food groups that can provide the fuel you want to help keep you going.

  • Boost with Veggies

We all know spinach and kale are super foods but one problem: some people don’t like them.

However, blending them with fruit is a smart way to disguise the flavors and give your family the full nutritional benefits of veggies.

Example:  Add a bunch of spinach (or kale) to this smoothie. It will still taste delicious and boost it in nutrition.

  • Nutrient Dense

Some days, getting all the fruits and vegetables our bodies need in one day can be difficult, however blending it into a tasty, sippable smoothie makes it much easier.

With this smoothie, you also get the benefits of whole grains, like vitamins, minerals, and fiber from the oats.

  • Digetsive Health

Consuming foods high in fiber like whole grains, fruits, and veggies can help support a healthy digestive system.

What nutritious things can be added to smoothies?

Thanks to the sweetness of fruit, you can add in nutritious ingredients like seeds, nuts, and protein powder and never taste them but reap the benefits.

Here are a few of my favorite smoothie add-ins that also happen to be delicious, check them out:

  • Oats
  • Greens
  • Avocado
  • Flax seeds
  • Chia seeds
  • Nut butters
  • Plain nonfat or low-fat Greek yogurt
  • Cinnamon
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries
  • Protein powder

Do you put ice in smoothies?

I personally like to add a little ice to my smoothies to thicken them and chill them. For this smoothie, I recommend frozen peaches, so it comes out colder and deliciously sweet.

I know some blenders have trouble putting out a smoothie with a silky smooth texture because of the ice. In that case, definitely use frozen peaches and eliminate the ice in this recipe.

I’ve found that by using frozen fruit, I was able to reduce the amount of ice and achieve the perfect creamy, icy smoothie.

How to make a Peach Smoothie

Making a smoothie is simple. I’ve found that the steps below make it easier for any blender to blend to a smooth consistency.

1. Add your liquid.

Start with deliciously cold almond milk.

2. Then the oats.

Where would I be without them?

3. A pinch of cinnamon.

It is a Peach Cobbler Smoothie after all!

3. Add your peaches

I’m using frozen, but you can use 3/4 cup fresh chopped peaches.

4. Ice

This is optional. Add more cubes if your peaches are fresh

5. Close the lid and blend.

The most important part.

6. Pour

Once everything is nice and smooth, pour yourself a tall glass and enjoy.
