Much better than the store-bought version, this Ranch Dressing recipe uses Greek yogurt instead of mayo to reduce fat and calories.

Ranch Dressing with Greek Yogurt
The first time I made Ranch dressing at home, I knew I would never come back to the store-bought version. My family loves my homemade Ranch, so I decided to give it a healthy twist with this Greek yogurt ranch dressing.
The great thing about homemade dressings is that you can make them in 5 minutes by mixing simple ingredients in a jar, as I do with this Maple Dijon Vinaigrette and this Thai Peanut Dressing.
This Ranch dressing goes with everything from everyday side salads to dipping veggies. It’s also a fun topping for pizzas and loaded sweet potatoes, without any guilt!
Ingredients
The base of this Ranch dressing is plain non-fat Greek yogurt (unsweetened and unflavored works best) and milk or buttermilk (adjust it a bit more or less based on your texture preferences). The herbs and spices you’ll need are fresh parsley, dried dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
How to Make Greek Yogurt Ranch Dressing
As you can see in the video below, this Greek Ranch dressing comes together super fast by placing all the ingredients in a lidded jar and shaking it to combine.
How Many Calories Are in Greek Yogurt Ranch
A serving of homemade yogurt ranch made with Greek yogurt, about 2 tablespoons, will have approximately 60 calories.
How Long Does Homemade Ranch Dressing Last
Whenever you make a homemade dressing, store it in a sealed, airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
Leaving it out on the counter for hours might reduce its lifespan so I recommend refrigerating it after you use it.

How to Use Homemade Ranch Dressing
This is PERFECT for adding to a quick and easy BLT salad or drizzling it on this epic Salad Sandwich. It’s also beyond delicious with this Cobb Salad or my Buffalo Chicken Salad. I’m drooling!
In a Wrap
Instead of filling your wrap with high-calorie spreads and dressings, use this instead! It’s perfect for Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps because everyone knows that spicy and ranch are the perfect pair!
As a Dip
Ranch dressing dip is totally a thing, and a good one at that. You can dip raw veggies right into the dip or even use it for green bean fries, carrot fries, or regular baked fries.
Drizzle it on top of a baked potato or dip the pieces of baked potato. I’m also a huge fan of using this as a dip for Crispy Baked Salmon Nuggets and this Broccoli & Cheese Nuggets Recipe as well.
Greek Yogurt Ranch Dressing

Watch how it’s made:
Ingredients
- ½ cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
- 1-2 tablespoons milk or buttermilk*
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley*
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a lidded jar combine the yogurt, 1 tablespoon of the milk, parsley, dill, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cover with the lid and shake to combine. If your Greek yogurt is very thick, add an extra tablespoon of milk. You can also do this in a blender; if so, add the fresh parsley at the very end so it doesn't blend into the ranch.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
